Marriage License Requirements
At a minimum, you need to meet the following requirements:

You can pick up your marriage license here at the Mesquite Clerk's office. Note Mesquite Clerk's office is only open Wednesday and Thursday from 8:00am to 4:30pm and closed noon - 1:00pm and all legal holidays. You can also pick up your license at the Marriage License Bureau in Las Vegas. Marriage License Bureau is open 7 days per week, 8 a.m. - midnight (open all holidays, no exceptions)
Vows must be performed in front of at least 1 witness and the Officiant. The Officiant will then file your marriage certificate with the Clerk.
Your Marriage License expires 1-year from application. You can apply online at your convenience and pick up the License later. This is nice if travelling to Mesquite as you can have all the formalities completed prior to even arriving. You can pick up your marriage license here at the Mesquite Clerk's office or at the Marriage License Bureau in Las Vegas.
Before choosing your ceremony spot, make sure weddings are allowed there. Parks, public sidewalks, Bureau of Land Management (BLM) property, and other public lands may have permit requirements or restrictions. If you're considering a privately owned location, such as a resort, golf course, or hotel gazebo, contact the property directly to ask about permission, availability, and any applicable fees.
